A Few of My Favorite Things: Essential Oil Blends

When I first starting using my essential oil diffuser I was looking for an alternative to scented candles and wax warmers. I love having a nice smelling home, but I wanted to be more aware of what I was putting into the air we breathe. It was a little intimidating deciding what oils to start with. I have used essential oils topically and in diy recipes for years, but using them as aromatics seemed intimidating at first.

Here are a few of my favorite combinations to freshen up my space. There are so many options out there when it comes to essential oils. My suggestions are easy to find, affordable, and user-friendly. I prefer to purchase my oils in their single form and blend them myself. In doing so, I can use them in a variety of ways.

The diffuser I have seems to work best with between 10 and 15 drops of oil in about 1/2 a cup of water. These suggestions are just that, suggestions. Please adjust depending on your diffuser and preferences.

I get my essential oils from a variety of places, however, I really like Plant Therapy, Check out the kid safe line!

Simple Aromatic Essential Oil Blends

7 drops Eucalyptus & 2 drops Geranium
6 drops Rosemary & 6 drops Mint
6 drops Lemon & 6 drops Frankincense
8 drops Lemon & 3 Eucalyptus
2 drops Basil, 4 drops Orange & 4 drops Lemon                                  3 drops each, Marjoram, Lemon, Lime, and Lavender (This blend is great for congestion!)

I love plant therapy oils! Thank you for sharing. I know that when I use my diffuser, I sometimes get overwhelmed by the smell. It is so strong! I think I need to play around with some of the suggestions you shared.
