Building a Life with Room to Breathe

Summer Slush Recipe

The perfect summer treat in a few minutes.

This week on the way home from swim lessons my girls were begging me to stop and get a treat. They really wanted a slush. Finely crushed up ice-covered in sticky sweet, heavily colored syrup. I had an idea. Let’s make some! It seems silly to call this a “recipe” because it is so simple, but I couldn’t have been happier with the results. I plan to offer this delicious and refreshing treat all summer using seasonal berries and fruit. It was much quicker than making popsicles. There is no added sugar or food coloring. I can easily adjust the size of the batch if other children are over visiting.

3 Cups Ice

1 1/2 Cups Strawberries

1/2 Cup Lemon Juice

Blend in a blender until smooth.

That is it! But I promise you will not be disappointed!
